      Dear Fellow Incline Village & Crystal Bay Property Owners,

      A reminder that oral arguments before Judge Maddox, in the first of our three lawsuits will begin, Friday morning September 3rd, 9:00 AM in Carson City, District Court.

      This is the first challenge against the Washoe County assessor alleging the illegal use of methods valuing IV/CB properties, which are not permitted by statute or approved by the Nevada Tax Commission. In addition, these methods violate the uniform and equal provision in the Nevada Constitution and have not produced equalization between similar properties or between Counties. The Court will be asked to rule these methods illegal and order assessments be rolled back to 2000/2001 in addition to ordering the re-appraisal of Incline Village/Crystal Bay.

      You are invited to attend; this will be a very important hearing, as the outcome will affect all of our properties. Norman Azevedo is the attorney who will be representing the taxpayers in this case
