  To All,
   
              We DID win our appeals.  There is no reason for us to appeal our victory!  More than likely the Assessor will file an appeal to the State Board of Equalization to see if he can get our win overturned.  In that case Attorney Suellen Fulstone will, once again, be representing all of the 1000 Petitioners that were heard before the County Board of Equalization.
   
              The Notice of Decision received by those of you who filed your Petition by January 16, 2007 states in the last paragraph:
   
              “
on Motion by Member Schmidt, seconded by Member Krolick, which motion duly carried
, it was ordered that the factor of 1.15 be set aside
  It was further ordered that the factor be adjusted to 1 and that the factor be applied to the current 2006-2007 land values on the roll.”
   
              What this means in English is that because the 2006-2007 assessed value of your property had already been rolled-back on the Assessment Roll to its assessed taxable 2002-2003 value, and the 15% increase in your land value, due to the “factor” authorized by the Tax Commission was “set aside”, the assessed taxable value of your property REMAINS at its 2002-2003 value.
   
              Until, or if, you hear differently, there is nothing for you to do at this moment re: the Appeal Notice that you were sent by the Washoe County Clerk.
   
              Hopefully, this somewhat explains this convoluted tax system under which we are all struggling.
