Dear Incline Village & Crystal Bay Property Tax Protesters,

Next Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. Judge Brent Adams will be hearing Washoe County and Treasurer Bill Berrum defend their refusal to pay the tax refunds which the Village League won for every property owner in Incline Village and Crystal Bay.  Mark your calendars and plan to attend this hugely important hearing. 

EVERY ONE OF YOU WILL BE AFFECTED BY THE OUTCOME OF THIS LEGAL ACTION.

$13,000,000 plus 6% interest is the amount that is currently owed by Washoe County to all 9000 Incline Village/Crystal Bay taxpayers for the 2006-2007 tax year. We are not playing “bean bag” here.  The stakes are enormous and we need your help.

Your presence will send a message to Washoe County that we are determined to finish this seven year battle for equal and uniform property taxes and collect your refunds which are now due.

The hearing will be held at Washoe County District Court.  The entrance to the building is at the corner of Court and Sierra Street. [Bring a hand full of quarters.  Most of the parking spaces near the court house are metered. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early.]

Only legal counsel and Treasurer Berrum will be speaking. We will simply be observing the proceedings. Court decorum will be strictly enforced, i.e. absolute silence during the hearing and proper attire (no shorts).
