Dear Incline Village & Crystal Bay Property Owners,

Wonderful news!

Yesterday District Court Judge Drakulich issued an order provisionally approving the settlement agreement between Incline Village and Crystal Bay taxpayers and Washoe County/State of Nevada.  Doing so triggers the process of informing taxpayers about the property tax refund process, making refund calculations, and providing notice to affected taxpayers.

Why an interim approval?  Based upon what appears to be a misinterpretation of the agreement, the Washoe County School District has launched an objection and wishes to intervene. The Court is willing to hear their plea.  So the final approval rests upon first considering that plea.  Both the County and Taxpayers have asked the Court to deny intervention.

Meanwhile, the agreement has interim approval and the refund process moves forward.  We will be providing many more details in the coming days and weeks.
