<p><b><font size="-1" face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">To All (1,200) Tax Appeal Respondents:</font></b></p>
<p><font size="-1" face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">Most of you have received the <b>Notice of Hearing</b> for the Appeal of the Washoe County Assessor on the favorable decision of the Washoe County Board of Equalization, now set for hearing on August 15, 2005 at 8:30 AM, in Carson City. </font></p>
<p><font size="-1" face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">The Hearing will be presented to the State Board of Equalization on the identical record presented to the Washoe County Board of Equalization. No new testimony, exhibits, or documents will be presented pursuant to NAC 361.739.</font></p>
<p><font size="-1" face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular">The Washoe County District Attorney will be filing a Motion to attempt to reverse the County Board’s action, based on its perceived errors in overruling the land-value factor of eight percent (8%). We believe that this action is not proper and we will oppose strenuously any action by the District Attorney in this regard. </font></p>
<p><font size="-1" face="Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular"> We can appreciate your interest and requests to receive current information on the status of this matter and we hope that e-mailed communications, such as this, will suffice. Because of the high number of Respondents, the office of our attorney, Tom Hall, cannot support individual phone calls. Thank you for your understanding.</font></p>
