It affects every single residential property in Incline Village and Crystal Bay (IV/CB).

This unanimous Supreme Court
Opinion awarded us the victory for which we have been battling! The Court has ordered the State Board of Equalization to equalize property taxes for all 9000 residential properties in IV/CB for the 2006-2007 tax year. The bar for equalization has been set by the 300 individual petitions for whom the Village League won, before the Washoe County Board of Equalization in 2006, a roll back to their 2002-2003 assessed valuations, plus refunds and 6% interest on over-paid taxes.

Through six years of legal battles the Village League has fought to win uniform and equal property taxation for everyone who is a residential property owner in Incline Village/Crystal Bay and pays taxes to Washoe County. The right to uniform and equal taxation is a constitutional guarantee.

In this decision the Court has directed the government to perform on that guarantee, and has given clear directions to the State Board of Equalization as to their
duty to equalize the IV/CB tax assessments.

There can be no mistake – justice is coming – and we expect our refunds for the 2006 tax year to be coming as well, hopefully by next April. That amount is specific to the 2006-2007 tax year. Additionally, this terrific Opinion will have a strong effect on Village League lawsuits now pending for tax years 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08, plus other legal actions in district courts and in the Federal Court.

Much is happening right now in our legal world and we continue to be frantically busy fighting
for your rights. A huge thank you goes to Attorney Suellen Fulstone for winning this incredibly powerful decision for us. She is amazing!!

Please continue to keep us in your thoughts.

Sincerely,
Maryanne Ingemanson, President
Village League to Save Incline Assets
www.NevadaPropertyTaxRevolt.org

---------------------------------

Village League to Save Incline Assets Board Members:
- Maryanne Ingemanson, President
- Dale Akers, Historian
- Les Barta, Law Research
- John Carney, Analyst
- Wayne Fischer, Webmaster
- Ted Harris, Tax Revolt Committee Chairman
- Todd Lowe, Financial,
- Chuck Otto, Public Relations

Village League to Save Incline Assets,
