Every parcel will receive an
additional 15% reduction in assessed land value, due to the downturn in the real estate market. Again, this reduction is in addition to the 10% reduction already granted, resulting in a 25% reduction over last year˘s land value.<br><br>The Village League is truly grateful to Assessor Wilson for his agreement to take this extraordinary step in attempting to bring some relief to taxpayers in this current economic crisis.<br><br>Should the County Board of Equalization agree to his proposal for an additional 15% land value reductions, then the Village League will have no reason to continue with the Petition for Appeal that was filed on behalf of all Incline Village and Crystal Bay taxpayers on January 15, 2009.<br><br>The actual date of the hearing has yet to be announced, but could be as early as January 28. Of course, we will be sending Alerts to keep you informed every step of the way, as to the status of your individual petitions as well,
